唐寅生做一份出色的英语简历,是成功求职于外企的“敲门砖”。不了解英文简历的常识和程式,不花费相当的心思来展示,没有纯正娴熟的英文功底,绝不能获得外企的青睐。那么如何才能制作一份简约明快的英文简历呢?
教育背景要写清楚
个人资料部分(PERSONAL DATA),包括求职者的姓名、性别、出生年月等,与中文简历大体一致。
外企一般都很重视求职者的教育背景(EDUCATION),就读的高校越知名,求职成功率就越大。在写教育背景时,求职者应注意的是,在英文简历中求职者受教育的时间排列顺序与中文简历中的时间排列顺序正好相反,也就是从求职者的最高教育层次(学历)写起,至于低至何时,则无一定之规,可根据个人实际情况安排。
在这一部分,求职者必须注意一个细节,那就是大多数外企对英语(或其他语种)及计算机水平都有一定的要求。因此,你在这方面如果有优势就尽可能地给予说明。
工作经验要突出重点
随着企业竞争的加剧,越来越多的用人单位看重求职的工作经验(WORK EXPERIENCE),外企也一样,特别是欧美企业很重视求职者的实际工作经验。因此,如果你有很好的工作经验最好择其重点分项写出来,包括服务单位的名称,自身的职位、技能等。当然,用人单位会在应聘要求中写明,他们会看中哪些工作能力和经验。你在求职时,完全可以根据招聘广告上所列出的每项要求,并列出自己的情况逐一与之比较。
例如,一则关于marketing management trainee和job requirement是这样写的:
We are looking for a competent person to fill the captioned position:
University graduate majors in Marketing Management. Prepared to develop career in the commercial field
——outgoing personality
——Able to communicate with different levels
——Good knowledge in PC operations
——roficiency in written and spoken English/Mandarin
则你相应地考虑自己的qualification的选择和表述,如你可写(与上列各项对应):

这样做的好处是可让你清楚了解该职位是否适合自己,自身资料又是否切合要求。更重要的是明白了各项要求后,你就可依据每一点在履历表上重点提出自己在该方面的强项。突出卖点,将之放在最吸引用人单位的地方,使招聘者一眼可见。
写出你的职业目标
Job Objective通常,一般求职者只会在履历表开端简单地写上所应征的职位-“Position Applied: Management Trainee”或“I am appling for……”其实,若懂得利用这小小空间写出自己的事业目标(job objective),能显示出你对该工作的热诚及憧憬,能令招聘者对你加倍留意。
此外,你还可以简要地写出自己感兴趣的领域(INTRESTED FIELD)。对于大多数求职者,尤其是对搞技术或研究工作的求职者来说,这一点必不可少。因为随着分工越来越细,将工作能力与工作兴趣相结合,不仅是求职者的意愿,对雇主来讲,也同样具有积极的意义。
不要认为论资排辈只在国企流行,在韩资企业员工升迁也一样论资排辈,所有人都得从底层做起。韩资企业一般实行高度的集权化,大部分管理权集中在公司高层领导那里,中下级管理人员只有很小的权力。更重要的是,上级做出指示后,下级无条件地执行这些指示是工作职责,这有点像军人服从命令是天职一样的感觉。
此外,韩资企业重男轻女的观念比较严重。一位曾在韩国公司实习过的北京大学研究生晨小姐告诉记者,女员工进韩资公司的第一件事就是打扫卫生,男员工一般是不会帮忙的。
