语言习惯影响面试
良好的语言习惯不仅指不犯语法错误,表达流利,用词得当,言之有物,同样重要的还有说话方式,应当做到发音清晰,语调得体,声音自然,音量适中等。说话时俚语俗话不断,口头禅满篇,和病句、破句一样,都是语言修养不高的表现。
面试同其他社会交往一样,是以语言表达思维、互相沟通的社会行为。虽然面试等应聘环节对语言没有特别的标准和要求,但社会所认可的良好的语言习惯,也是求职面试应达到的水准。当然形成个人良好的语言习惯,决非一蹴而就之举,但了解什么是良好的语言习惯,并在应聘中有意识的加以注意,对提高应聘成功率还是有一定好处的。
就拿语调来说,同样的句子,用不同的语调处理,可以表达不同的感情,收到不同的效果。比如当你被问到是否能完成一件比较困难的工作时,用中等速度适当提高音量回答:“我可以试试”,与用慢速轻声回答“我大概可以试试”,给人的感觉就会大不一样。前者充满自信,而后者会让人感到缺乏信心。有研究说,使用上扬语调易给听者造成悬念,提高他的兴趣,但若持续时间过长会引起疲劳。而降调能表现说话人的果敢决断,但有时也会显示他的主观武断。再比如语速,适宜的语速并不是从头到尾一成不变的速度和节奏,而是要根据内容的重要性、难易度,以及对方的注意力情况,调节语速和节奏。
面试中在与对方交谈时,还要警惕一个很容易破坏语言意境的现象,比如过分使用语气词、口头语。老是用“那么”,“就是说”、“嗯”等引起下文,或者,在英语的表达中使用太多的“well”,“and”,“youknow”“OK”及故作姿态的“yeah”等,不仅有碍于人们的连贯理解,还容易引人生厌。据笔者了解,在面试中夹杂英语,眼下已经成为一种时髦,有不少求职者有意使用这种“中英混合”的语言,以表明自己的英语水平。这种自以为聪明的做法,很可能弄巧成拙。有不少外资企业的人力资源部经理对这种语言方法颇有反感,他们认为这是语言水平不高的表现之一,如果你的中文或英文水平高,完全可以用一种语言来表达自己的意思,为什么要用这种? 不类的语言来表达呢?
大多数人对自己说话的习惯、语音语调都只有纯自我的感觉,这种感觉常常有失误。因为有科学研究表明,由于声音传递的方向不同,本人感觉到的自己的声音与别人听到的声音有不小的差别。所以你可以把面试中必须说的话,先录下来再放出来听,这样往往很容易找到不尽如人意之处,这是自我检查和调节语言习惯的很适宜的办法。
